Today's Economic Calendar

Currency Hedger Trading Desk April 27, 2020

  • Italy plans to ease lockdown, Spain and UK mull decision

  • US GDP report to be released later in the week

While an empty macro calendar is often the case for Mondays, there is just one reading scheduled for release today -

Dallas Fed manufacturing index for April (3:30 pm BST). However, it should not have much of an impact on the markets. More interesting data will be released in the later part of the week, including the

US Q1 GDP report (Wednesday, 1:30 pm BST). Investors will likely focus on lockdown-easing news after Italy announced it will start reopening the economy from early-May. Similar decisions are expected from Spain and the United Kingdom this week. Spain will likely decide during a cabinet meeting tomorrow. Keep in mind that this week will be a bit shorter on some markets as Labour Day holiday will be held on Friday in many countries. Noteworthy earnings scheduled for release today

  • Cincinnati Financial Corp (CINF.US) - after market close

  • NXP Semiconductors (NFPI.US) - after market close

Trading in leveraged currency contracts comes with substantial risk. You must be aware of these risks before opening an account to trade. High leverage amplifies gains as well as losses, leading to potential loss of the entire account balance. Trading in leveraged currency contracts may not be suitable for every investor. Never speculate using money that you cannot afford to lose.
