Germany Inflation Steady At 1.1%

Germany's inflation rate remained stable, as initially estimated, in November at its lowest level since early 2018, final data from the Federal Statistical Office showed on Thursday.

The consumer price index climbed 1.1 percent year-on-year, the same rate as seen in October. The rate came in line with the estimate published on November 28.

A similar lower rate was last seen in February 2018.

On a month-on-month basis, consumer prices decreased 0.8 percent in November, as estimated.

The harmonized index of consumer prices, which is meant for EU comparison purposes, rose 1.2 percent annually after a 0.9 percent increase in the previous month.

Compared to the previous month, the HICP decreased 0.8 percent monthly. Both annual and monthly HICP rates matched provisional results.

Trading in leveraged currency contracts comes with substantial risk. You must be aware of these risks before opening an account to trade. High leverage amplifies gains as well as losses, leading to potential loss of the entire account balance. Trading in leveraged currency contracts may not be suitable for every investor. Never speculate using money that you cannot afford to lose.
