Finland Consumer Confidence Weakens In March
Finland's consumer confidence decreased at a faster pace in March, survey data from showed on Friday.
The consumer sentiment index fell to -7.1 in March from -4.5 in February. In January, the score was -4.6.
Among four components of the confidence index, view of their own economy weakened clearly and intentions to acquire durable goods decreased compared with February. Meanwhile, views on one's own economy at present and in the near future improved.
The data was collected from 1,053 persons resident in Finland between March 2 and 19.
Finland Manufacturing Confidence Falls In March
Finland's manufacturing sentiment weakened in March, survey data from the Confederation of Finnish Industries showed on Friday.
The manufacturing confidence index decreased to -6 in March from revised -4 in February. The reading was well below its long-term average of +1.
The construction confidence indicator decreased four points to -3 in March. This was above its long-term average of -6.
The service sector confidence indicator dropped eleven points to -6 in March. This was below the long-term average of +13.
The retail trade confidence declined seven points to -13 in March.
